Tools

These are the tools I am using at the moment. I hope they will not let me down and stand me in good stead for the next few months.
NintendoDS Pedometer and Walking book to get me out and increasing my step totals each week.
Scales, measuring cups and spoons to ensure I am keeping tight reign on the calories I am consuming. I have other tools that I may share with you some other time.

Hi Sheilagh,

I just have to tell you that reading your blog gave me an idea that just might keep me on track. Your term 60X60 can apply to me as well. I will turn 59 next month. So what your 60X60 means for me is that I can pledge to lose 60 lb by the time I am 60. I can probably do more than that, but the thought of the weight I'd be with 60 lb off...well that would be incredible! So that caused me to weigh myself (which I haven't done in many, many months, whether I'm dieting or not) so that I would have a starting point! Now I've got a goal!

Oh, Just noticed this, lol! I am so tempted by that Nintendo game since you mentioned it, having looked longingly at it in the shops, but not gone for it yet. Is that what you use to log your Walker Tracker steps?

I haven't heard of that book, it looks great and those scales are very nice indeed!

Sometimes it's completely necessary to get real exact on the measuring and counting---because calories have a way to sneak in if we don't!

You're so awesome my friend,
Sean
