I had to pull myself up to get weighed this morning, I had to double check it was Wednesday again. It is, so I weighed and have lost Two Pounds. I have been hoping for Three per week but I'll smile and take the Two.
Does not sleeping effect weight loss? No I am not looking for excuses, I think I read something recently but cannot remember where. That a decent nights sleep helps weight loss, well if that be the case, my lack of sleep must be responsible for not being where I want to be on my 60 x 60 road. I should be close to target but I'm only just past half way.
I am enjoying my food, I am enjoying "Biggest Loser" on the Wii as well walking half an hour of my lunch break, so I am getting there. It's just this no sleeping that is getting me down. My darling is insisting I go see the doctor about it now as he is getting worried about me.
Thank you for the lovely comments about my family post, they brought a tear to my eyes. Things are looking good for me right now and if I could sort the sleeping this would be one Very Very Happy Sheilagh:o)

I had started to get more sleep; not a restful night but overall more sleep per night but I am back to having to force myself not to get up. Last night was up at 2am; then again 5am. Was returning messages to Sam at 5am.
I should have slept well because I was at the gym last night. Have you tried Nytol?

Well done, 2lbs is a good loss. Measure it in cans of food, it's ridiculously heavy! Really admiring your staying power over here gal.

I know that not sleeping well effect my weight loss efferts, makes me crave carbs and bad stuff :(

Your hubby is very in tune with you, so I think if he thinks a trip to Dr. is wise, I'd go and get it checked out. Maybe they'll find some weird, but not harmful, thing that they treat with meds that take weight off!!! :) I am such a dreamer!!!

Great goin' on the 2# loss. As for the sleep problems....I've been fighting the same thing for over a year now. I've tried Melatonin, and that worked for a month or two. I'm trying lavender oil on my pillow case now, and it's doing an ok job, but I'm still very restless all night long. Good luck to you. Hi Sheilagh. Well done on your loss! 2lbs is good solid progress.
Sorry to hear you're still not sleeping. My eating has been way off the last few days due to lack of sleep. I just haven't been staying in bed long enough. It makes a big difference.
I really hope you find an answer to this problem very soon.

I've had a problem sleeping for a long time! The less sleep i had the worse the scale was in the morning.
Unfortunately i thought if i didn't get sleep soon i would have a breakdown!! I've had to start taking a prescription, but at least i'm having a good sleep and waking up alert.
I think 2 lbs a week is also great. The body is a strange thing sometimes and makes no sense.

P.S. And there's a natural sleep aid that I've heard a lot of good things about...starts with an "M". I think it's called melatonin? Check it out. :)
