Stepping Out For a While

I have decided to take a break, from weight chasing and blogging.
After visiting the doctor today and his comments about my being too hard on myself.
I am going to take a week or two off and try to get back to a simpler, gentler way of being healthy.

I must say thank you to everyone who left lovely caring comments, you really are special people.
Very special thanks go to Suzi and Sean for your very genuine care and concern.

I will be back and I will get to where I want to be.

My love to you all xxx

Will miss you. I realized I felt too much pressure to post about weight and sometimes feel "blog guilt" about keeping up with blogs. Please come back soon and take good care of yourself. We have a date in New York this fall.

Don't worry everyone I will look after her- we have some fun times coming up and we always laugh a lot and talk a lot; she is as special in real life as you imagine. I am so blessed that she is my best friend in all the world. Thanks for supporting her -- Trish (accidental carer)xxx

Feel better, my Friend. I think the whole fantastic vacation/coming back to reality might be the problem. It's crazy to feel crazy when life is so good. I can relate to that.

Take your time. Just do the next right thing. Remember, it's usually something small.

Hi Sheilagh. I've been away from blogland for a couple of weeks myself due to depression so I'm just catching up now.

I'm sorry you've been struggling this week. Maybe you need to ease yourself back into the the game in a slower fashion - just a small decrease in food and slowing increasing exercise. I know you've set yourself quite a high goal for your trip later in the year, but sometimes attempting too much all at once is, well, too much.

Maybe taking at least 2 weeks to get your calories down to weight loss levels would give longer term success.

Achieving a certain amount of weight loss by the time of your trip is not essential. Eating and exercising healthily for the rest of your life is a far more important goal.
