Turkish Delights
Here we are in Dalyan, Turkey. A place I always thought I would visit but I am glad I changed my mind. The people are so friendly and helpful.
We had a delicious meal last night and I am trying to stick to healthy food. The Greek salad (seems strange having a Greek salad in Turkey) was delicious. I then had meatballs with yogurt, fantastic!
Today had a very healthy breakfast, muesli and yogurt, followed by boiled egg and tomato with two slices of Turkish bread. Mediterranean tomatoes are sooooo delicious. For lunch we had a waffle with tons of strawberries and ice cream. We are so full right now I don’t think we will be going for dinner (notice I have gone posh, dinner instead of tea, that’s because I’m on holiday;))
I am sat at the poolside bar typing this, listening to Turkish waiters laughing and joking with music in the background, it is 7:30pm. Mind you, I am not sure what time this will go on my blog as I have to go around to the front of the hotel to get a signal. So it may even be in the morning
I have found apple tea and I love it, I am drinking water like there is no tomorrow, wish I could drink like this at home.
Here are some delights from today...
Suzi you would love walking here:)
It is the following morning and it is another glorious day...

The food, the sights ... it all sounds marvelous! I wish you could pass the food through so we could all have a taste.

Turkey? You're in Turkey? How did I miss that?! I though you were coming to New York?
Man, I'm feeling sooo confused.

Sheilagh, what a lovely time you are having. My ex next door neighbour used to go to Turkey every year with the family. They loved it. Perhaps one day Todd and I will be able to visit it as well. They say it is very lovely! xxoo

Hi Sheilagh. I never have "tea" on holiday either lol. (I'm from the north too).
All your photos are utterly delightful. Glad you're having a wonderful time.
Bearfriend xx
Wonderful and extremely awesome!
Absolutely gorgeous! Turkish food is quite similar to Greek food; perhaps that's why they tout the same salad :p
Fantastic!!! What a splendid time you must be having.
I would indeed love to walk there!! So next time i get to come in your suitcase? Right?? Have a great time!
I am so jealous!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd love to visit Turkey. Having eaten Turkish food on many occasions, I would think you will be able to make many healthy choices for your meals/tea/pudding!
BTW - that's the weirdest British term!!! Pudding is pudding - custard type stuff. In the UK pudding is any dessert. So weird!
So glad you're having a great time. I loved apple tea when I was in Turkey and couldn't get enough of it. Have a cup for me!
