The Carpenters - Top Of The World

As I was dancing through the houswork this morning, I played a cd of The Carpenters, haven't played them for a while. This song played and I was "singing" along to it and it suddenly dawned on me. This song is just how I feel about my man.

Now you might be thinking, sentimental old fool, maybe I am,
but I spent a lot of years at the bottom of the world and it is
SOOOOOOOOOOOOO VERY GOOD to be
On Top of The World finally!!

What song/songs are special to you and your relationships?

I'm glad you feel good!
I love this song, too!
And I listen to it sometimes as I drive.

It's kind of a running gag...us not being the smushy type.
lol.
I think it's sweet that you have a really special song, not just a goof song.

That's so cute! :)

All the songs that remind me of my past relationships aren't quite so cheerful.. :p

So how's the view from up there, Sheilagh? Must be gorgeous!
It's wonderful that you have your Honey in your life. You deserve goodness!

I haven't really had a good relationship to have a song for. :(

Any or all of the tracks on Paul Carrick "Satisy my soul" album. I played this to Phil whilst he was in a coma and I played it constantly in my car for all the time he was in hospital. So every track is one step of his journey towards recovery. And I love the Carpenters too.
As you know darlin I also have a very soft spot for PJ Proby and HOLD ME ................ love you xx
