Here It Is!!

Here is my shed, finally, it arrived at 1pm and by 1:30pm it was up and ready to go. Ralph has waterproofed it inside and out. We went to B&Q to get a shed alarm and locks. Then to IKEA to suss out what was needed for storage and worktops.

We had our tea at IKEA I had meatballs which were delicious.  Ralph had fish and chips. We came home with a few bit's and pieces, but left the ordering of the big stuff until Saturday.

I am really itching to get out there now and get it sorted, but Ralph has been feeling rough since we got back ,so I have had to hold my horses so he can rest.  He went to the Doctor this morning, we thought he had a chest infection but the doc says his chest is clear, he just has a severe head cold.

I am wanting to stream line my storage and workspace in this new shed and not have it all higgledy piggledy as in my previous shed.  Any scrapbookers/papercrafters out there got any hints. Have looked at a couple of books on Amazon and I am tempted by one or two.

This is my shopping list for Saturday at IKEA  for some of my storage and workspace. there have been lot's of "discussion's" between my man and myself re: what is required.

I hope I am not boring you with all this shed business but I am really excited and really really want to get going with it...


I have only had two meals today, breakfast and then a late lunch/early tea at IKEA.  I have no idea of the calories ate there so I am going to guestimate 650. so with breakfast at 320 I haven't had enough calories again today.  I will have something for supper but will really get organised food wise tomorrow when Ralph goes back to work.  This working only two day's a week is playing havoc with my eating habits.
I must get a grip if I am to succeed in Tammy's Challenge. Weigh in day tomorrow and I don't feel like I have done much this week.


Now come on I need a cute name to go on this shed, give me some idea's please, pretty please?

Easter Monday

Wellies at the ready this morning, it was raining when we woke and I was not impressed.  The base for my shed had to be finished today, ready for the delivery tomorrow.

Ralph is still poorly, so Mike came over and did the heavy work as Ralph directed and in no time it was sorted.  Thanks Mike, you are a Star.



So here it is ready and waiting, I just hope there is no delay with the delivery after all the hard word put in by Ralph and the boys.

I was talking with Trish, my BezzyMate tonight about what to call my shed. I  can't come up with a name that I like so she suggested I ask my fellow bloggers for some idea's. So what do you think? Any idea's?
The best original idea will win a little gift from me:o)

The Easter holiday is drawing to a close tonight, I hope you all had a happy time and are now looking forward to fresh starts, new beginnings and have refreshed hearts, minds and souls.

A Good Saturday

The Hoilday is booked.
The shed is moved.
The Shoebox is almost our own again...

It's a Good Good Day!

We went to the travel agents this morning, we were there before they opened...

You would think we were keen or something.

Two weeks in Dalyan, Turkey  last two weeks in May, I can't wait:o)

I am not a sun worshipper so

I don't do peak season, even

so the travel agent says in May

the temperature's get in the high

seventies. That is more than high

enough for me.

I like history, I know there is a lot

to look into in Turkey. There is plenty

of natural history too. Loggerhead Turtles

lay their egg's here between May and September.

I won't be holding my breath though, if we are

lucky enough to see them, it's a bonus.

I am sooo looking forward to this holiday.

The boy's came round today to help Ralph move the shed, they did a good job.

Most of my crafting stuff is back in there now and the Shoebox is not so cramped.

Mike and Tim (The Boy's) my lovely son in law's are coming back on Monday to

help put in the footings for the new shed. This after Tim does a charity walk tomorrow

to raise money for a local childrens hospice "Claire House" 

23 miles for Lydia's House To Claire House.

Lydia was the little daughter of my daughter Clair's friend. 
She died last year after a courageous battlle with cancer.

Easter Saturday

Well it is still Good Friday as I start to write this but it will be Easter Saturday by the time I have finished.
Today we decanted my craft shed into the Shoebox, so that the shed can be moved tomorrow to make room for my new shed which is being delivered on Tuesday (hopefully).

So my little house(Shoebox) has NO ROOM to move, I am not joking, we have been surrounded by crafting stuff all day.  We can't even get to the stove to cook.
So we have lived off sandwiches today:o( I have had five pieces of fruit as well, but it is not good eating.  I will do better tomorrow. 

We are going to book our holiday tomorrow, we have been looking online tonight and have a few idea's but will go and see the travel agent in the morning to see if we can get a better deal. At the moment it is
between Dalyan in Turkey and Rhodes one of the Greek Islands.  It's a big chanage from Italy or Canada!!  Italy is far too expensive at the moment and Canada, well Canada will have to wait until Gavin and Carol make their minds up what they are doing!!
We are going to New England and New York in October/November so I am wanting to save as much as we can for that holiday.  So we are looking for a more economical holiday for May.

So Easter Saturday is going to be a busy one. Booking a holiday, moving the shed and going to Ikea for more storage for my new shed....

I have been to bed once tonight, but my man has caught my cold and is therefore snoring for Scotland at the moment, hence I an here typing away. I have tried to leave a message on Tammy's blog "Fat To Flab" about the challenge she has put on for this month, but my messages just get bounced for some reason.  So if you read this Tammy Girl, count me in. I need something to aim for...

My Mam's Birthday

My Mam would have been 85 today.

We didn't have an easy relationship, in fact I could write a book about the good,
the bad, and the ugly in our relationship. What I do know is  I love her and miss her.
The fact it is Good Friday and her birthday makes the day harder to bear.

No More Fooling Around!!!

April Fool's Day has never been one of my favourite days.
I ALWAYS get caught out and made a fool of. 
I am sooooo gullible.

This April Fool's Day marks my fooling around no more.

I am back to healthy eating (A little chocolate on Easter Sunday)
I am back to regular exercise (Some walking planned over the holiday weekend)
I am back to the gym after the holiday.

No More Whinging!!
No More Excuses!!
No More Procrastination!!
